Results from National Portrait Gallery competition
Well, I got the bad news from the National Portrait Gallery competition yesterday. Didn't make the semi-finals. Guess my painting of my grandpa will have to hang in the MOMA instead of the Smithsonian. Haha. All kidding aside, I'm bummed, but have always known that the art world is a competitive place. I'll be back in the game soon enough.

Don't feel bad, I got a rejection email as well. Who are these people, anyway? I love the painting of your grandpa. I thought for sure it would get in.
Thanks, Amy. While disappointed, it's ok. I've got a lot of great work ahead of me, competition or no competition.
